The misty mountains

Nicole and Masaki's wedding is over so here comes the rain! We have had a beautiful storm today and we couldn't resist taking Tenna up to the park to take some pictures of the clouds. Albert is not at all convinced that clouds are just dust and water and would like to know what form of trickery this is. Well either way, it sure is beautiful today. Who knew Utah could be so green?!?!

Shouldn't the whole "down on one knee," thing have happened a while ago? Congrats guys! Nicole and Masaki looked great and hosted an awsome party. How could life get any better? 

I couldn't post without a good Tenna picture. She is a great baby, but the day sure did take it's toll on her. She crashed hard core that night!

Hands

What is that strange thing waving around in front of my face? Tenna has been intently watching my hands and fingers for a few weeks, but the past few days she seems to really have discovered her own hands. They are fascinating things to her. I mad her some curtains and gave her the excess material to play with. She grabs it with both hands, but I don't think she understands that she is pulling it over her face. That may take a while!

Vanity

This picture is a perfect explanation as to why there were so few posts last week. Her new toy required three AA batteries, so I stole them from the camera. She loves this little mat, but her favorite part is the mirror (as pictured). She will smile and coo at herself for quite a while. I guess she can already tell she is pretty cute...what have we done! ;)

Goofin' off

Here we are playing the sitting game. I don't think she usually looks that chunky, I guess the smile brings it out. This picture looks much better if you click on it and enlarge it. I don't know why it looks so blurry on the small version. Oh well! Oh, and don't worry my feet are clean!

Lazy days

Grandma and Grandpa Ohler went back to California today after a quick trip out to see us. Grandpa figured out a fun new way of holding Tenna that she found very relaxing. I think the funniest part was how her drool would collect in his arm hair! ;)
Tenna had her two month check up yesterday, and you know what that means...shots! She is doing really well. 80th percentile for height, 75th for wieght and head circumference. It turns out she really is a big baby, I have not been making this up!
It was so sad when they gave her the shots. I am glad Albert was holding her as I would have punched out the nurse and Tenna wouldn't have gotten the proper vaccinations! She did get a little sick last night, but is doing very well now. Good girl!

Just trying something new...I wanted to get a little more bang for my buck. I hope these pictures can all be enlarged by clicking on them. Now I don't have to choose which one to post! The homie hat pictures are after we treated her head for a little bit of cradle cap. We wanted to let it moisturize for a bit before we washed her head but didn't want to touch her nappy head. I know we are so mean...but it is a good photo opp! 

I love you this much!

Tenna has a new habit that we will have to break eventually. We started by putting her in her crib from side to side, as she was small enough to fit that way. Now she really should be sleeping lengthwise, but she is able to scoot herself and turn. Now she has made a dent in the bed where she presses her head against the mess on the side of her crib. No matter what I do she WILL NOT sleep until her head is secured in her little dent. I guess we all ahve something...she's going to sleep with books on her head some day.

Push ups

I couldn't catch her in her full raise, but I thought this was pretty good. Pluss a little baby girl in a sea of pink is just so precious!

This is a picture of Gracie with her uncle Michael. You know, I think that guy has a real connection with these little ones. They both realyl seem to take to him. I just couldn't help but post this picture! 

These are some head bands that I made for Gracie and Tenna. Unfortunately the one I made for Gracie is about the right size for Tenna, and the one I made for Tenna is just big! I will have to work on the sizing, but I guess this time it is ok, it's a good thing babies grow fast! 

Across the generations

Yesterday was Gracies (Tennas cousin) one month birthday and her blessing day! It was so fun to see gracie. I guess they are too young to recognize the connection, but we could all see it. They are surely related. This is a picture of Great-grandma Noyes holding both of her new little girls! Gracie is in the pink blanket, Tenna is in plaid. It was so fun to meet you Gracie!

Apology for abuse

We must make a family apology for the bullying and abuse suffered by Gracie at the hands of our big bully daughter. This picture gives evidence to some unsolicited nose picking. We are now begining a program to increase social skills, and decrease nasal intrusions.
