Things city kids miss...

I was chatting with Leanna this week about her college experience, and it came up that she has some very "city kid," roommates. One makes me think of myself, or my upbringing, I dunno. She eats garbonzo bean pancakes and cookie dough, the end. I just laughed. I had never tasted a breakfast casserole and I thought dutch oven cooking must be done by those with Dutch ancestory. Being married to a farm boy from Utah has opened my eyes to all sorts of culenary delights. Case in point: sausage "biscutz" and gravy. Me likey. Andi likes them too, but she still has a bit of the city kid in her. She ate her steamed broccoli first. ;)

Snow day!

We had a big (for October) snow storm yesterday. Tenna was begging to build a snow man all day so after church and naps we had to concede.

Conference....

Teaches us to live humbly and be glad for what we have. We have decided that we will just wear paper bags from now on...JUST KIDDING!

This was a little craft we did for our "pre-school" a little while back, and it's a big hit. Tenna kept hers on for about an hour.

Obviously when you are wearing such beautiful pieces you must dance! This is serious haute coiture!

Fall!

Everyone seems to be posting fall pictures. I would love to have some wonderful pics in the changing leaves, but the first joy of fall to me is dinner in a pumpkin. Unfotunately this was the WORST dinner in a pumpkin ever, so I was the only one that choked some down. Hey, at least it is raining.
In other news, Andi is an amazing potty training girl! I really wanted to wait until after our road trip with Grandma, but she is adamant, and quite good too! I say that after having to pull my hair out with Tenna. She actually notices when she is wet, and will tell me when she has to go. That being said, I did catch her peeing on the wall while waiting her turn on the potty, at least she took her clothes of first, right?
