I think Tenna is hiding some of her abilities from me. I will walk out of the room to wash my hands and when I come back she is turned 90 degrees and two feet from where she was. Considering I don't see her do much more than kick her legs this is perplexing. The photo is of a baby taco in her play gym. It usually looks like a four peg tent without walls. Hmmmm, what will she do next?

Heheh sorry for putting another sleeping picture, but I thought this one really showed off her fuzzy blond hair. Tres cute if you ask me. She has been such a chatter box the past few days. It cracks me up! She is also a lot more prone to giggle. Apparently it is very funny when mommy makes monkey noises...maybe it seems oddly appropriate. Who knows? Heheh I love my girl! 

I still get a kick out of seeing Tenna sleeping. There is something so precious about a napping baby. When you are the sleep-impaired mother of said infant they are even more precious.

The chunk 

Nicole and Masaki called last night as we were getting Tenna ready for bed. Lucky for them we had just discovered a new way to make her laugh. So they were able to hear her laughing in Japan! What a great time we live in. She really is a doll. I am so spoiled by her sweet temperment. All you have to do is look at her and she smiles.  

She finally made it today! The toe successfully reached the mouth. She seems to have been very interested in doing that, so she must be quite happy with herself.  

I finally got around to FINISHING a project or two on the sewing machine. The colors are really much better in real life for this quilt. I still have a few chairs to finish , so there is always something more to do. Tenna is a sleepy girl recently (must be a growth spurt) so I am finding myself with a bit of free time. Now if I could just get good at this stuff I could start a business. I just want to make enough that I can buy more craft supplies! I guess Tenna will get mobile soon though, then there will be no time. ;)  

Amy's baby blanket

My new skill in crochet borders...
So I really made this for Amy's little boy, though he is not due until October....I just can't keep a secret so I gave it to her today. Haha, oh well! I was just so excited to finish it, my first one! I really think I could get used to it, I find it very relaxing.

I wish there was some way I could put a recording of Tennas voice on this sight. She is getting so expressive. Anywho, I loved the DROOL in this picture. Too bad I couldn't get one of her long strings. I think she saves those for when I am holding her though!  

Tummy time is much better now! 

Well I have had a few requests to add some Tenna pictures so here they are. She is getting fat and hairy ;) She has this high pitched squeel that she has started to do when she is cranky. I feel bad that I think it is so cute! She is still refusing to roll over, but loves to giggle and coo, so I guess that makes up for it. What a good little girl. I just wish she wasn't so camera shy!

Motivation

I guess Tenna just needs a little more motivation to roll over again. I was changing her diaper when I realized I needed something from her room. When I came back she had turned herself off of her mat and was watching the TV. Nice...So she won't roll over to play with us but she will at least start a roll just to watch the television! I really couldn't help myslf with this picture, though I don't think they ever do her justice. Now she is trying to catch up to mommy's fingers and type something, maybe next time kid!

I had to put this one up for Velden. Anyone who knows me at all knows I DETEST insects. I have a special loathing for spiders. You can imagine my horror when I look up and see THIS! Luckily, upon examination, I determined that this monstrous sight was outside. I guess that makes it cool! And hey, that big guy is eating one of the kinds that come into my house, so I say, good-on-ya! 

Busy week

I know it has been a while, I guess I have just been having too much fun! Last week was the week of never ending cherries. My good friend Amy has a cherry tree in the front yard, so we did some picking (she did a lot more with her hubby) and then it was time for drying, canning...etc. I just finished pitting the last of them this morning and set them out in the dehydrator. I don't know why I always pick the rainy days to do this though. Sheesh.
We also just set up Tennas new crib! It is a great crib, and now I need to get cracking on a bumper for the back side, so we can replace the rolled up blanket. Tenna still likes to sleep with her face shoved into the side of the crib. That always frieks me out with the bumpers (as they are not as breathable as the mesh siding on her port-a-crib. She took the the new crib quite well though, so we were grateful for the smooth transition.
I have a few projects going but, silly me, I forgot to get the plug for the serger when I got it out of my moms storage unit, so back to the sewing machine. Blah. Oops that is still being borrowed by the upstairs neighbor, so I guess that is on hold too. Oh no! I guess that means I have to clean!
Well guess I better get to it!

Happy Fathers Day!

Hey there! This is for all of the papas in our lives that have done so much for us! We just wanted to let you know we are really trying to teach her your hobbies!

Mmmmm, white drool stimulator fluid! I could get used to this! 

I had to show off my very first rag quilt! I haven't washed it yet, so it isn't as shaggy as it will be. I learned a lot about it and I know what I will do differently next time. Mostly I was just pround of how I planned ahead and had a different pattern on the front than on the back! Aaaaah simple pleasures. :P Yeah well, it works for me! 

Multi-tasking

Tenna is really enjoying the fact that she has all these limbs to work with. She can pull and kick at the same time to get optimal play time!

Mommas' view

I couldn't help myself. I always seem to be seeing Tenna from above and I just wanted to give everyone else the perspective I get to see her by. Tres cute huh? She did the sweetest thing today...I held the phone up to her ear to let my mom talk to her. The second she heard her say "Hi Tenna, this is Grandma," she burst into a HUGE smile. It's amazing to see what they already know!
I almost forgot! she reached another mile stone last night. She slept from 7:30p, to 7:10 am. That's right, she really slept through the night! Not just because of exhaustion either! I don't know if that is going to happen again any time soon, but you can't believe how good it felt to sleep through the night. I admit I did go in at around 6:45 just to make sure she was really breathing ;)

Foot fetish?

Tenna enjoys her diaper-free time more and more. She could almost touch her feet with her hand when we were playing before her bath. I don't know if she was preparing for super kick attack mode, or just trying to reach those little toes in this picture. I just think that it is funny that sometimes she will cry to be put down so she can play! It really does go by too fast.

Pensive smile from Gracie! 

Tenna had a good old time in Lyman with the Noyes clan this week. I think she has a whole bunch of new favorite people! I think there must have been a contest to see who could make her smile most. 

Here are our two little girls having a good old time together. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to get two babies to smile at the same time! I can't wait until they are old enough to really notice each other.
