Cleaning is NOT a craft...

...but organization can be an art! Anyone who has ever been married, had roommates, pets, friends, siblings or cell mates...or sorry I dozed off...anyways if you have been in any of these situations you know there is sometimes a need to justify your time with the amount of cleaning that is done. Well I am here to tell you enequivically....cleaning is NOT a craft. It does not count as "free time," "down time," or least of all "fun time." Now, I am not saying that Al has EVER said anything like that (he wouldn't dare, I lift weights). This has all stemmed from my internal dialogs, which tend to be quite extensive. Through my temporal mastications I have decided that I need to spend some time learning the art of organization so I can cut down on the drudgery of cleaning. I am fishing for YOUR favorite organizational gadgets and tricks to inspire me on my path.
*Note: Anyone who knows me well surely knows I am VERY poor at organizing, so no suggestion is too elementary for me!*
Thanks!

I was organized, then I got married and had a kid and it all went down the tubes.

Seriously though, plastic bins or containers from the dollar store for EVERYTHING helps me, then I know stuff has a place to go. Now getting it there is usually the hard part.

btw, love the new blog look...good work!

Pam you use a lot of big words!! your new blog look is cute though! on the organization thing i would say plastic tubs and drawers and shelves. mostly because i think thats what i need right now!! another thing i need to do - throw things away!! but thats not really your problem as much as mine. good luck with this!

Hear hear!!! You just put into words what the rest of us think to ourselves every day. It is nice to see it in black and white though. By the way, there is a book that I really liked. It's called Confessions of an Organized Housewife, or something like that. Is had some great ideas for being organized and keeping things clean in an efficient, time-saving way. (I'm all for the time-saving part). :-)
