ALL women will understand....

...the deep depression that hits when something catastrophic happens to your hair. Ok, so this is MUCH better than it looked right after I got home, but let me start from the begining.
I have been looking into a good hairstyle (with little effort) for a square (need I say MANLY) jawline like my own. Upon seeing this picture of Keira, I was convinced! I know I look just like her so I figured it would work great (oh, not convinced? next time I will do heroin eye-liner and will will see the resemblance much better, I promise).
I called the nearest thing I have to a fashionista, Sarah, and was told that this is a BODY WAVE. Wonder of wonders, I must have it! So my loving husband takes the wild poo monkeys for three hours while I become a movie star.
Little did we know I would be coming home poodle. Ok, so I really should have take pictures yesterday after that it had been fro-ed by the stylist, then you could really sense the dread. Apparently I still don't like it enough to even smile.
Albert was very nice and said "it make you look girlie, er, femenine, I like it." To which I responded "you are going the right way for a punch in the face and lips!" So I had to call a girl and comiserate...boys don't get it....yes, it will grow out, but not for a while. I figure I can always shave it, I just have to decide if I want to show support for the 80's(leave it and pic it) or race for the cure(bic it)...you decide.

Oh Pam... But now you can put it up like Austen women and have ringlets. ;-) Time to make that dress ASAP! ;-)

You do not have a square jaw... I have a square jaw - you have a lovely pointy jaw...

Well... now you can write a book or a list... Rule 1 - no perms.

I love that pic - you are properly pissed off.

Also like "poo monkeys".

I think it looks really good. Sorry you don't like it.

You really do look cute, but truthfully if you hate it, bic it and give it to locks of love.

I also like "poo monkeys"

Nicole!!!! she doesn't need any encouragement, i heard the rant on the phone!! NO BIC PAM!!!!!! Then you would not only match your brother-in-law but also your father-in-law and i am not sure you want that do you??? :) It will be ok, you just might have to use a curling iron to encourage slightly larger curls. we'll play with it in lyman and maybe by then it will be better. :) i do like your picture though and have to agree with queen scarlett when she said you look "properly pissed off" i like that quote and thought it fit quite well. :)

I had a dream that I woke up in that dream with a perm...but because my hair isn't fine the curls weren't as tight. Again - it was a dream - I will NOT go out and get a perm...no matter how tempting. ;-)

Haha, yeah QS I had a friend in HS that tried to geta perm on thick black hair, all she got was a dent that bent all of her hair one direction. I think from now on we should both just stick with dreams ;)

the best things about perms is they calm down after a few days, so I am glad yours is going to be great. I will be eager to see it on wed. pray it is not freezing.

Pam, I like it! I agree with Amy, perms relax a little after a while. I wanted to say pic it and fro it out, but you've seen me do that. i don't recommend it.

i like "poo monkeys" too.

and all I can say pam - is welcome to my life. call me if you need any ideas on how to manage the FRO. I have many years experience. but now that I have a baby i just pic it into a rats nest every day and head bang to butt rock. it really is the best solution.
