SAHM OCD ETC.
I have talked to a few other moms about this tendancy that we have to latch onto something and make it an obsession, bordering on OCD. Maybe we are just bored. Maybe we feel like the world expects us to take a stand on something. Maybe our brains are tired of firing on those same synaptic pathways:
Path A: That sound is Curious George, you may relax the children are not trying to shove chopsticks into their brains through their noses.
Path B: That sound is silence *WARNING* Children are most likely eating something they found while pulling up the corners of your carpet, Symapthetic nervous system please ramp up.
Path C: That smell is poo.
*Sigh*
Well some women craft(guilty). Some women are helicopters(not guilty). Some women turn into hippes(guilty-ish, darn you death-rocket hot dogs, oh yes and sugar). Some women turn into germ-a-phobes. Whatever.
My current obsession is with phthalates. Hence, Al get's his lunch in a glass jar. I am pretty sure I am far more concerned about this than I should be, but it does give me something to do! Now if I could just get the girls to drink out of glass baby food jars without spilling them or getting into bar fights (you know broken bottle menacing in a toddler fist).

ok nevermind i get it now, i read the link on phthalates you had. thats interesting. i hate finding out stuff like that though because it's a lot more work to care about it and try to change the way we do things. :) i am glad you finally posted something though!! :)
I remember reading about phthalates and thinking 'oh no, my son will be sterile!' It sounds like they are less worried about girls. Or have the just neglected the females?
