Piggy banks

GG Dadds sent us a package that included some piggy banks for the girls. They each picked the one they wanted and were so excited to put different coins in them. It even helped Tenna use the pottty as she knew she could get some coins for her "pinky pank." Thanks GG Dadds!

Some Andi time

Andi had a good ol' time on Easter too. Both girls love stickers and she is such a ham for the camera!

Here is Andi with her piggy bank. We have had to put them up now so they don't get pummeled. MAybe in a few years!

Preparation

Thank you great grandma Dadds for the egg kit...yes the one you gave us last year. I forgot how the color tables fizzle, the girls loved that. Andi is not super gentle so most of the eggs where cracked by the end, but there were tons of giggles involved, so it's ok. We are ready for Easter.
Tenna and Daddy went to the city Easter Egg hunt/breakfast today, put on by the Firefighters. Tenna now knows that the firemen help people and give her presents! They brought Santa around (the last time she saw them) and chucked candy at us, and now this! Firemen are the best!
Albert had a good story from the hunt too. They separated the kids into age groups so Tenna was one of the younger ones in hers (3-4). She started out with another little one in the same situation, so they apparently decided to head out together and go to a less crowded area. The horn blew and they were off ("too loud" Tenna told me). Tenna and her friend each grabbed a stuffed animal for themselves, Tenna got a cow. She thought this was the whole goal and headed back to dad quite happy! One if the firemen saw that she was passing by some eggs so he pointed them out to her. Well, if a fireman tells you to do something you pay attention! She chucked that cow as hard as she could behind her and got an egg. Apparently several people thought this was very funny, including the fireman. He picked up her cow and made sure she had it AND an egg when she got back to daddy. Silly girl.
She has also developed a habbit of needing more things to sleep with. I decided two stick horses, three ponies, a lamby, and her new cow were just too many things to keep track of and round up for bed time, so I told her she could choose two things. This went ok at first...she chose cow and a stick horse (no lamb, I know, can't believe it). Well she decided we needed to discuss this further. She opened her door and called me in. She said "miss lamby....need four (holding upp four fingers)things, ok?" So I look on her bed, and sure enough, four things. How do I say no when she is proving that she actually pays attention when I teach her things? I say "that's allright, four things." She then contentedly scampers into bed(for about 3 minutes).

We have high hopes for this one!

So, maybe it is just the love of a mother, but I think this is a cute picture. Albert, on the other hand, thinks that is makes Andi seem vacuous. Oh well, my blog, I win. I realize we moms have strange ideas on cuteness, maybe I will look back and see it his way....but I won't admit it.

CSI Noyes

Some women might cower at the sight of a red handprint, however, mothers with a lick of sense know how to read the clues left behind by toddlers.

Catch me if you can!

Andi's personal space

Andi has a very strict personal bubble. Now, mom, don't worry, I know some of it is well deserved. She had taken her fair share from a, um, energetic and impatient older sister. It just makes me shake my head when we are at the gym and all of the older kids look around in stunned silence as she begins to bawl because they are forming a line behind her. She simply can't stand to have anyone in her local conciousness. Oh wait, I am wrong, I am most definately allowed in the circle, actually deficite of mom = meltdown and necessity to shove nose in the floor and wail. I am a bad mom, but sometimes she just makes me chuckle.

Nasty things my kids have to eat...

So Albert is always turning his nose up at the concoctions I make to try to keep the kids healthy. Number one, he thinks that organic/non-preservative cheesy noodles are super gross, then add tofu and pureed veggies and it's completely in-edible to the male pallet. Oh well, the kids are used to it!

Andi loves it...

Tenna has all the cheese she needs, and some extra ham for the camera!

And here is Tenna eating what she REALLY likes...horse snack from Grandma-N!

Happy Birthweek Tenna

Tuesday the airplain museum, and two packages. Thursday was her party. Sigh, now today is back to normal + about 10 horses!

When you have a sick baby

Poor Andi has had to deal with a lot the past few weeks. She has had two bouts of pretty high fever and lots of tummy rebellion. There are up sides in everything. She needs to cuddle a lot. Her poor little body is so tired though.

Tenna has had to deal with a lot too. She is completely stir-crazy. The most fun she had today was making mommy suck helium and sing "twinkle-twinkle little star." I need to get more creative ;) She actually does do a lot, but it is hard to get her to do anything when sister is watching a movie.

Along sickness and potty training comes a lot of laundry. I just haven't brought myself top folding it yet though. I guess I ahve to move it or something before my visiting teachers come over. Did you know that purple grape pedialide throw-up turns your carpet turquios?

Ode to my sister

That's right, my big sister is having a birthday! I am posting the day before because I want her to see her birthday post when she wakes up on her Birthday in Japan. Now I don't often do Birthday posts, but she is an exception!

Is is the most giving and forgiving sister a girl could ever hope for. We have been through a lot together (as you can see we both had rather excessive lurpy phases), but she has always been there to support me. I did my fair share of torturing her, but somehow she still likes me!

Happy Birthday Nicole! Love you!

Oddities

This was standing on top of my rain gutter today. I think the aliens made it as a way of communicating to me.

I was making sketches last night of some appliques I want to make for Sarah's baby quilt...well Tenna found them and was adding the final touches... I don't know why but her work on the eyes make it look a little creepy to me, or maybe that's the aliens.
