Haircut!

Today was Tenna's first real haircut. I took a good two inches off the back. I am a bit sad, it was so pretty and curly! I know it will grow back nicely though. I just need a little more practice cutting little girl hair!

Sesame Street

And now she is being distracted by the sesame street program I turned on to cut her hair. ;)

I wish I was better at taking pictures! I think this one looks a lot like my cousin Brittany when she was little, and I wish it turned out better! Dang!

A sad week for the homemaker!

It was a great week for Albert! He received acceptance to the PharmD program at the U, he had a birthday and he got some great presents. Unfortunately I think Karma demanded that I balance out his good fortune! No, not really that bad. The girls are healthy again...
We heard a funny crash and couldn't place it. Well it was my wheat grinder, oh and I had just used up the last of my flour. Then today, about two minutes before my bread was done kneeding I hear a huge crash and glass shatter. Thinking Tenna had pulled the TV down somehow I ran panic stricken into the living room. Both girls just gave me startled, puzzled looks. Then it hit me. We had just moved the bread machine to the stable counter, but I guess that was a bad idea. Now I would make bread by hand, but that just doesn't work for me. It comes out like a brick...so I guess I get to play on e-bay! Yeah!

Tomato Pie

Well I have had some requests for the Tomato pie recipe and I have to admit, I don't really follow one, but here is the main idea as I see it.
Make/buy whole wheat pie crust (pre-bake it)
5ish roma tomatoes sliced (er whatever is good at the store or in your garden!)
Mayo mix:
1/2 c. mayo (canola is best)
1/2c. plain yogurt
1 tsp Italian seasonings

have about 1 1/2 cup shredded cheese (

Layer tomatoes and mayo mix then cheese (for last layer mix mayo and cheese) about three deep. Sprinkle on Parmasean and some Pesto.
Bake 40min at 350 degrees. Yummo!

Hmmm...

...now if I could just keep from folding in half!

Sick day, everywhere

Poor Baby

Well it's official. She is sick. Poor baby. The antibiotics should kick in pretty quickly and I will have my bundle of energy back. Didn't know how much I would miss her.

A moment to ourselves

This picture reminds me that, sometimes, we all need a moment to ourselves. It has been pretty crazy for the last little bit. I am just glad that spring is coming and we may all stay healthy for a while. Andi is just showing me that it's ok to take some time and read a book.

Pre-birthday bash

Grandma and Grandpa got Tenna a spectacular gift! I can't believe she is almost two!

The girls like to play together. Sometimes Tenna wants to just play with sister alone (hence the "go away" face). But she also likes to share too much, so alas, they must be supervised! ;)

Three years...and counting

Albert told me that he knew it would be ok to marry me once I had made him a tomato pie. It was no secret to my roomates that I wasn't the best cook, but he knew then that I would learn. Well now we have been married for three years and it seems like at least once a week he has a new favorite. So, thank you tomato pie!

My favorite sight

One of my favorite things is opening the car door when we get home from a long day. Both of my girls look up at me with their little thumbs in their mouth and pleading eyes (get me out!). This isn't the best shot, but they are both sucking their thumbs. Notice, they suck opposite thumbs ;)
Oh yes, mom, that is your finished afghan on the chair, so you can finally have your Christmas present!

Because I AM easily guilt tripped

There isn't much new going on here. Just working on projects and cleaning, cooking etc. However I got a little guilt trip from Grandpa Noyes this week, so I threw up a few of our "not doing anything," pictures! Enjoy!

Sick and Snowing

Well, when it is snowing outside and you have a cold there isn't much to do but relax indoors. Tenna is watching "Milo and Otis," and eating her snacks. What a life!

I am always happy

Despite a grumpy and sick mommy and sister, Andi is a continual ray of sunshine! I love her little sidewase smile.

Second favorite new game

Tenna loves to play with Andi (when she is in a good mood). This is their favorite new game (well second favorite). Tenna plops down on Andi and tickles her face with her hair. They both giggle and squirm. Their VERY favorite game is one Tenna invented yesterday. Tenna sits on her ball and bounces on her bum saying "beebeebee," until she scoots too far forward. She then falls on her bum and shouts "boom." Andi just laughs, but it works for them!

Cutest baby

Well this week I decided I was going to take some cute baby pictures to enter into a contest! I was so excited (for a minute) but my kids just wouldn't cooperate. This is the best picture I got, but neither one of them really lived up to (I think) their true potential. Actually, it was more like they were rebelling! It might have helped if it hadn't been right BEFORE bath time and they were both grimey! Oh well, here are some duds!

The stink face

Tenna has this stink face that she picked up from me when I am thinking. It is so cute, but not exactly what I was looking for. Her funny story for the week is as follows...
On Monday I was having a beast of a time getting Tenna down for her nap. I gave up after about an hour and a half of struggle and went in to get her. To my suprise she had taken off all of her clothes and was playing between her matress and the memory foam (yes she is spoiled, I know). I couldn't help but laugh. I am so glad they do those kinds of things to keep us sain!

Potential

This picture has good potential, aside from the fact that she is a total mess! What was I thinking?

This one would have been so cute if I just knew how to use my dumb camera! Grrrr!

Tenna's new "weewee"

It has been too cold the past few WEEKS to go outside and play on our new swing, so Tenna has to get creative. The "learning tower," is her new "weewee." She just holds herself up in the corner and swings her legs back and forth. Not bad, I must say. I am sure glad that thing is so stable.
I missed the best camera opp today too. Andi was laying on the floor on her back and Tenna came and laid down between her legs and put her head on Andi's tummy. The both giggled and squeeled for quite some time while playing with eachothers hair, tickling, etc...ah that is what having children is all about!
